Mac Cillycuddies Regiment

Mac Cillycuddies Regiment

Hooray!!! the blog is finally allowing me to post pics again.
This regiment was the last Warfare Miniatures unit that I've painted and was painted up as a mainly pike armed unit with just a few musketeers and improvised weapons added for visual effect.

  1. I don't know what it is about this unit in particular, but it's certainly caught my imagination.

Cracking work as usual and likely to cause a slight diversion . . . . unfortunately :O(

    1. Sorry about that Joe but that's exactly what happened to me when my mate Barry Hilton first showed me these figures, my main period of interest up to that point had been the main Marlburian fighting.

  2. Nice looking unit sir. I very much liked the work you did on your Jacobites in your previous posts. They look excellent and the history is wonderful to read.

    1. Thank you Anne, you're no shirker of the paint brush yourself. I've enjoyed going through your blog having only just discovered it a few days ago.

    1. Thanks Phil, I really enjoyed painting this unit and I've just picked up another two battalions to paint from Barry, these are with slighly earlier equipment and are still carrying apostles and will be used for skirmish games around Tangiers against my Moors in the 1680's. Now that the site is allowing me to post pics I'll try and take some pics of my Moors during the week once I've recovered from our League of Gentlemen Wargamers Back of Beyond weekend which was full of the usual chaos, back stabbing, double dealing and masses of fun.
